Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified contractors to provide labor, equipment, tools, supplies and materials to Remove and Replace existing HVAC system, VAV boxes, and controls and insulate existing ductwork @ the FAA NY TERMINAL RADAR APPROACH CONTROL (TRACON) facility located in Westbury, NY. Estimated Cost:$125,000 - $160,000 NACIS:235110 Time:120 calendar days Payment Bond:Required Performance Bond:Required Tentative Start Date: Fall 2009 Insurance Requirements: $2 Million HVAC InstallExperience:Ten (10) Years or more FAX Solicitation Request by: April 30, 2009 4:00 p.m. ESTFax - 718-995-5685 Mandatory Site Visit:May 6, 2009 - 10:00 a.m. NY TRACON1515 Stewart AvenueWestbury NY 11590 Note: To be considered for award of this project the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov). Companies that qualify may request a copy of the Screening Information Request (solicitation). Due to a time restraint, all fax requests must be received by 4:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time on April 30, 2009Requests shall be faxed to 718-995-5685, Attn: Maria Rosu, no phone requests will be accepted. Criteria: Interested Offerors must attend a mandatory pre-proposal site-visit scheduled for May 6, 2009 @ 10:00 a.m. Security Requirements - NY TRACON Facility: Security issues preclude the need for the FAA to be informed prior to contractor's arrival for badge and escorting requirements. If you are interested in attending the MANDATORY SITE VISIST, contractors must submit:1. Name2. Date of Birth 3. Driver's License Number no later than 4:00 p.m., May 1, 2009 via Fax 718-995-5685 (Attn: Maria Rosu). Failure to provide this information will result in NON-PARTICIPATION of the site visit. Only those offerors that receive the solicitation/Screening Information Request (SIR) will be permitted at the pre-proposal site-visit. Offers will be accepted from only those contractors who have attended the pre-proposal site-visit conference to assure a full understanding of the requirements. Contractor Requests for the solicitation/Screening Information will be controlled based on the time and date as it appears on the fax request report. Requests received after 4:00 p.m., April 30, 2009 will not receive the solicitation/Screening Information (SIR) RFO Package. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Past Performance and Financial Capability. The Government will award to the technically acceptable offeror who is determined to be responsible and whose proposal conforms to all requirements of the SIR, has Acceptable Past Performance, Relevant Experience and offers the lowest evaluated fair and price. Technically acceptable is defined as proposals that meet or exceed all requirements of the SIR and demonstrate the technical ability to perform requirements of the Specifications. The Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
