- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify firms capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to: Disconnect and remove existing 12 Volt optics and associated battery charger system, wire and conduit. Replace existing fusible safety switch and push button and associated wire and conduit with new for existing hoist motor. Existing hoist motor and starter will remain. Replace existing three junction boxes, two safety switches, 5 KVA transformer, power and control wires and conduit with new. Replace existing luminaires and receptacles with new. Furnish and install lightning protection system with 36” air terminal and 18” air terminals, ground rods and approx. 1400 feet 4/0 bare copper wire. Furnish and install photoelectrical control on north wall of multi purpose building and connect in parallel to upper deck switch. Provide 5 KW and 3 KW generators for temporary power. Incidental work items not listed above and necessary for completing the project shall be included. The NAICS for this project is 238210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14.0M. Vendors interested in performing this project are invited to provide the following information to U. S. Coast Guard CEU Cleveland (Attn: Ms. Melton) no later than COB 04/27/09. When available, the resultant pre-solicitation notice and solicitation will be posted at this website. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes ONLY WHICH SERVES AS MARKET RESEARCH and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided.
