- The Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center will host a Market Research Information Session for Safe Patient Handling Equipment on Monday, May 4th,2009 between 7a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Minneapolis VA Medical, first floor flag atrium, One Veterans Dr. Minneapolis, MN 55417. The objectives of the Market Research Information Session are to familiarize staff with commercial safe patient handling equipment available; and conduct market research to understand clinical features and functions commonly available in modern commercial offerings. Vendors shall bring only those product(s), accessories, and informational materials that meet (or exceed) the functional requirements of Minneapolis VA Medical Center. In addition, vendors shall be prepared to demonstrate product functions and features to clinical and technical staff attending the session. Examples of items we would like to see are transfer and repositioning devices, anti fatigue mats for the operating room, wheel chairs and stretcher movers, and non-motorized, small sit to stand devices. Items we are not including in this market research are motorized floor based lifts, motorized sit to stand devices, and stretchers. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This conference is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of the Market Research Information Conference attendance. The conference is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for quotes and proposals, and is not be to construed as a commitment by the Government. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the FEDBIZOPPS. It is the potential sources responsibility to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS site for release of any solicitation or synopsis resulting from this conference.
