Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement in its Safety Management System (SMS) Office to award a contract to provide safety management system and system safety programmatic support. The support is required to assist with project planning, database development and maintenance, office documentation preparation, and configuration control of all documents developed, maintained, and/or controlled by the SMS Office. The FAA anticipates awarding a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee contract for one base year, with four one year options. This is a full and open competition. All interested sources are referred to the attached SIR/RFO. All responses to this SIR/RFO must reference the solicitation number DTFAWA-09-R-00028 and be submitted to the following address: Federal Aviation AdministrationATTN: John Gamble, Room 408800 Independence Avenue, S.W.Washington, D.C. 20591 The date and time for receipt of proposals is 3:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), June 5, 2009 (facsimile and email responses are not permitted). Any responses received after that date and time will not be considered in accordance with AMS provision 3.2.2.3-14, Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals for Submittals. Proposal submissions must be in accordance with Section L of the SIR/RFO. If all requested information is not furnished, the vendor's response may be determined unacceptable. Oral or written communications with offerors, during the screening process, will be conducted if the FAA deems communication is necessary. Questions regarding this SIR/RFO must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer: john.gamble@faa.gov., with copy to elisa.brown@faa.gov. Questions will not be accepted after 3:00 p.m. EDT, May 28, 2009. All interest parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for costs incurred in preparation of any response to this SIR/RFO. Therefore, any cost associated with proposal submissions will be solely at the interested party's expense.
