- The Building Fire and Research Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to Perform Hydrogen Release and Combustion Measurements in a real-scale garage. The specific tasks pursuant to this effort are described in the Performance Work Statement included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this procurement will be issued on or about April 17, 2009 under FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisitions utilizing FAR Part 10 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price Purchase Order as a result of the solicitation. The competitive solicitation, all amendments, and any questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will only be available via the internet at the above website. Potential Offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. There is no printed solicitation document available. NIST will not maintain a bidder’s list. Telephone requests will not be honored; all questions must be submitted in writing via e-mail to jennifer.lohmeier@nist.gov. To be eligible for award, Offerors MUST be currently registered with the Central Contractor Registration at www.ccr.gov and have completed its representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541380 and the size standard is $7.0M.
