Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source follow-on contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, BAE Systems Information and Electronic Warfare Systems, St. Louis, MO, for the Low-Rate Initial Production I-II (LRIP) (FY10-11) of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II. It is anticipated that the resultant contract shall be on Firm-Fixed-Priced type basis for the procurement of: (a) APKWS II Guidance Section (APKWS-II-GS) for a quantity of 325 during LRIP I and 600 during LRIP II; (b) Navy Shipping and Storage Container (NSSC); (c) technical and training manual updates; and (d) Support Equipment and Support Test Equipment for LRIP. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). BAE is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the APKWS II, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to produce the requirements described herein, in order to satisfy the government’s requirement. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated needed herein is 336414.
