Description
The FAA intends to silicit and award a firm-Fixed price contract for the above titled project. The work includes site repaving and modernization of various spaces, including but not limited to Selective demolition of the existing concrete sidewalks, asphalt paved parking lot and driveway. Repaving of same, including new concrete sidewalks. Selective demolition of elements in the exisiting spaces, which include general, mechanical, electrical and other items. Refinighing of floors, walls and ceilings. Removal and replacement of roofing. Refinishing the exterior surfaces of both the ATCT and Admin Base Building. Replacement of electrical fixtures and miscellaneous electrical revisions and additions. Converting of spaces to create a new Electronic Equipment room, complete with mechanical and electrical requirement. Replacement of ceiling grilles and registers in the base building. Replacement of the existing Fire Alarm System including the Main Panel and associated equipment as shown on the drawings and herein specified. Coordination of work with the Airport Authorities and the local FAA office in order not to disrupt the prevailing security and the operations of the structures. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications, drawings and contract provisions under the contract resulting from the solicitation. NAICS Code is 2379990 Service Disabled Veteral Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and certified 8 (a) contractors are highly encouraged to submit a request for this project. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of SMall and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any elegivle prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under DOT Short Term receivable financing. The maxiumum line of credit is $750,000.00.
