- This is a Request for Information (RFI/Sources Sought Notice) announcement only. There is no solicitation at this time. As part of its market research, the 48th Contracting Squadron is seeking sources interested in providing food services to personnel located at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. You will not be required to submit a proposal at this time; this synopsis is for planning purposes only. The 48th Contracting Squadron will be soliciting for the outsourcing of food services at RAF Mildenhall in the near future. This potential contract is of no cost to the government with the contractor paying the government percentage fees outlined in an agreed upon fee schedule. The performance period of this contract is expected to be for a base period of five (5) years with five (5) additional one (1) year extensions for a potential total performance period not to exceed ten years (Base Period of five (5) years with five additional one (1) year options). The estimated start date for this service is October 1, 2009. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment (not otherwise provided by the Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentality or NAFI), services, oversight/supervision necessary to provide an integrated system for the management and delivery of employee/food services at the Consolidated Club Facilities at RAF Mildenhall (RAFM), United Kingdom (UK). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing the information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of future evaluations. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resulting solicitation for the requirement. The information requested will be used by the Air Force Contracting Office at RAF Lakenheath to facilitate decision making.
