Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is 70181-9-Q314 and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-31) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This procurement is not set-aside. The applicable NAICS classification code is 334516 and PSC code is 6640. SCOPE OF WORKThe U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is requesting quotes for a DNA Extraction Workstation. The quoted equipment must meet the following salient characteristics:-Integrated UV light-Integrated HEPA filter (optional)-Integrated lid that protects user from robotic arm and ensures a controlled and shield environment-Dead-air volume is adjustable within the accompanying software for a wide variety of sample types and viscosities-The unit must have a small footprint with dimensions no greater than a width of 480mm (18.9 inches), height of 400mm (15.75 inches), and depth of 570mm (22.44 inches)-Instrument connects to a laptop or desktop PC computer with Microsoft Windows XP via a USB port-Accompanying software generates diagnostic report in email format and bundles relevant files for technical assistance with a single click of the mouse-Sample IDs, such as bar codes, can be easily imported into the software-Has auto height calibration function to set height-Software supports setup wizards for ease of use in programming-Uses disposable and non-disposable reagent troughs-Software can easily import sample names from any existing sample management system and can also export sample information -All reporting functions can be easily exported into.html,.doc, or email format-Warranty LINE ITEMSPlease provide a detailed price schedule for the following items: Line Item 001: DNA Extraction WorkstationWhen submitting your quote, please include the pertinent product information and brochures for the suggested workstation for our geneticist's review.
