- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean HealthcareSystems, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a firm fixed pricecontract to provide an External Consultant to the Ponce Vet Centerclinical personnel. Consultation services to include clinical casediscussions, educational information and presentations. Within theconsultation process the Contractor will make appropriaterecommendations to the counselors who handle cases with problems such asdrugs/alcohol abuse, marital situations, bereavement and psychologicalconditions such as Mood and Anxiety disorders which include PTSD forcombat veterans. The Contractor will work with the counselors and doesnot have direct contact with clients or identifying informationincluding records. Clinical consultants can be a clinical social worker,clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse if the person whoholds a graduate degree in another mental health field (typicallyinclude master of counseling, master of counseling psychology, master ofmarriage and family counseling). Consultants must posses the requiredState licenses or State certifications, Master level to comply withrequested qualifications. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVEQUOTES but responses received by April 20, 2009, 2:00PM Puerto Rico timewill be evaluated. The purpose of this announcement is to assist indetermining potential source only. A VetBiz Registry search was doneand found insufficient information. All firms responding to this noticeare advised that their response is not a request to be considered for acontract award.
