- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Mobile Onsite Diagnostic Testing Services for the United States Penitentiary/Federal Prison Camp, Inez, Kentucky. Services include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computerized Tomography (CT), Ultrasound Services (General), and Ultrasound Services (Vascular/Doppler/Echocardiograms). The contractor will be responsible for providing a mobile unit, their own electrical power supply, and test reading for each examination. Services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The visits will normally be scheduled between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The services length will be an estimated maximum of seven (7) hours per visit with approximately 11 patients being examined each visit. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are as follows: 25 CT Scans, 50 MRI's and 75 Ultrasounds. The Contractor will normally conduct services once a month. The Contractor shall hold a current state license or registration permitting them to practice their professional specialty in the state of Kentucky. Quoters must specifically identify the individual that will be performing these services under any subsequent contract award. The quoter must provide proof that their candidate meets all qualifications. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 17, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 621512, with a small business size standard of $13.5 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about June 4, 2009; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
