Description
Synopsis W912P8-09-B-0051 Flood Control, Mississippi River and Tributaries, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract, 2009 Stone Placement, Mississippi, Atchafalaya, and Red Rivers And Old River Control Channels, ED 09-053 This will be an UNRESTRICTED procurement. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR 19.7 and FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers FY 09 subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractors total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 70.0%; Small Disadvantaged Business 6.2%; Woman Owned Small Business 7.0%; Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business 0.9%; and HUBZONE Small Business 9.8%. The work consists of placing various types of stone paving and stone repairs along the banks of the Mississippi River ( miles 325.7 to 0.0 AHP ), including Southwest Pass ( miles 0.0 to -18.5 BHP ), Atchafalaya River ( miles 0.0 to 137.0), Red River ( miles 6.0 to 11.0 ) and Old River Control Channels. ( The estimated time of completion is 364 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The Solicitation will include 11 drawings and specifications). The NAICS Code is 237990. Work is estimated to cost between $15,000,000.00 and $35,000,000.00. The bid instructions and closing date and time for submission of bids will be contained in the Solicitation notice and package. The Solicitation is expected to be issued on or about May 1, 2009 on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the Solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the Solicitation package will not be honored. Potential offerors MUST register on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov in order to receive notifications and/or changes to the Solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site. Prospective contractors who would like their company name included on the IVL may do so on the FedBizOpps web site under IVL. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the Solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the Solicitation package. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader for.pdf files (www.adobe.com) in order to open most files posted by the New Orleans District. Offerors are also encouraged to post notices of prospective subcontracting opportunities on the Small Business Administration Subnet at http://web.sba. gov/subnet. Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government contract award.
