- SOLICITATION NO. 301819B120 PROJECT TITLE: Road Reconstruction at the Desoto National Wildlife Refuge located in Missouri Valley, Iowa PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Road and Parking Lot Reconstruction. Contractor will remove and replace existing asphalt pavement and concrete, curb and gutter, excavation, installation of culverts, common borrow, provide road surface sealant, pavement marking & traffic signs, concrete islands, remove and replace vehicle loops, replace topsoil and seed. It is anticipated that performance will begin in late Spring on or about June 30, 2009 with a performance period of 185 calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed with the work. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated that will require performance and payment bonding to cover the estimated ceiling magnitude cost of the project. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,001 - $5,000,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 Million. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about April 30, 2009 with a Bid Opening occurring on or about June 02, 2009. The Solicitation Package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Scope of Work, Drawings, and Prevailing Wage Determination, Bid Bond Form SF 24.
