- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. Military Installations in Japan utilize Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) that include handheld radios, repeaters, mobile radios, base stations, consoles/remote assets, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Switching system and an outdoor Giant Voice System. This Performance Work Statement (PWS) incorporates all of these assets under one maintenance contract. The Air Force is the initial user of this requirement but the Government reserves the right to include additional agencies as their RFS requirements expand are upgraded. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to operate and maintain all RFS equipment at Kadena Air Base in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and applicable Air Force and DoD policies. Operating and maintenance primarily includes, but is not limited to: a) Preventive Maintenance b) Troubleshooting c) Maintenance/Repair Calls d) System Upgrades e) System Modifications f) Equipment Relocations g) Switching System Management h) Installations i) Vehicle Radio Repairs & Installations j) Information Assurance security and patches
