- Description
- The U.S. Special Operations Command,Technology Applications Contracting Office intends to procure specialized services for the tear down, repair,, preparation and shipping of Special Operations Forces unique components from three (3) MH-47E aircraft prior to induction at Boeing Helicopter for a Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) overhaul. The intended source for the services is Summit Aviation Inc. of 4200 Summit Bridge RD, Middletown, DE 19709-0258. The authority and justification is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302 -1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” A Firm Fixed Price Type contract is contemplated. This is a DO-A1 rated order. The North American Industrial Classification code is 488190. The anticipated award date is 29 May 2009. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals are being accepted through mail and e-mail. Responses should be sent to Al Elder at the following email address: al.j.elder@us.army.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, will be utilized.
