- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The NAICS Code is 332812 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. THIS ACQUISITION IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. The Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, CA. has a requirement for the following item: CLIN 0001: Service to resurface sealing on Spur Gears. Quantity 100 each. The vendor shall supply all labor and materials to inspect, degrease, prep and apply a Chrome Plating Process to the O.D.! Sealing Surface to build up to OEM Specification per print to the final size to 30.503: +.000" -.002". The area shall be machine straight and apply a Hard Chrome Process to the Journal Surface and Final grind to the finish size per print. The surface finish shall be 16rms or better. All processing shall be in strict accordance with Mil, Std. 2182sh Class2. The offerors quote is to be a firm-fixed price. Delivery FOB Destination to Barstow, CA 92311-5015. NOTE: OEM Specification can be retrieved from http://www.logcom.usmc.mil/contracts/solicit/. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation; is considered to be the best value to the Government. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial product, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
