- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, MD, is seeking to procure a quantity of 78 each Master Distrobution Panel Kit (MDP), P/N A15EK044-3 and Overhead Panel Kit (OH), P/N A15EK045-3. A quantity of 37 will be awarded with the initial award and a quantity of 37 will be awarded as an option for FY 2010. It is the intent of the Government to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order for these items under existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-05-G-0012. The proposed order will be awarded on a sole source basis to The Boeing Company, Ridley Park, PA and will be made using Boeing proprietary drawings that define the tanks, the self-sealing covering, and all critical manufacturing processes. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 2304(c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the H-46 series helicopter and retains exclusive proprietary rights to all technical data. The Boeing Company is the only firm that possesses the knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and technical data required to perform these efforts. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with The Boeing Company, Route 291 & Stewart Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078-1099. See Note 22.
