Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation PR00123992 is issued as a request for quote and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-32. This solicitation shall be awarded on a sole source basis to Intersense, Bedford MA, as the only supplier and manufacturer of the Intersense InertiaCube2 head tracker. The NAICS Code for solicitation is 334119, with a size standard not to exceed 1000 employees. This solicitation sets forth the requirements for providing commercial off-the-shelf head tracking devices. The purchase will consist of twenty seven (27) InertiaCube 2 head trackers and twenty seven (27) InertiaCube serial to USB converter due to their ability to interface with the unique hardware and software systems already in place. These head tracking devices will be used as spare parts to replace any failed, like components already in use on the COVE Full Mission (FMB) system at the Surface Warfare Officer’s School, Newport RI. Award will be made in the form of a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The anticipated award date is April 22, 2009. The Government intends to pay using Wide Area Work Flow. (WAWF) The following FAR/DFARS provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.204-7, 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, DFARS 252.232-7003, 252.204-7004 Alt A, 252.212-7001. A completed copy of the following must be included with each quote unless ORCA and FAR 52.204-8 is submitted. FAR 52.212-3, Full versions of the FAR/DFARS clauses can be located at the following site: http://www.arnet.gov/far or http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. The DPAS rating for this solicitation is N/A.
