- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, is seeking sources to provide A/E services to include site investigation, design development, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, construction period services and site visits. The project will include the following: design for renovating approximately 9000 SF of existing shell space on the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors of the VAMC Wilkes-Barre. The existing shell space has minimal electrical/mechanical/plumbing utilities within the space. The intent of the design is to convert the shell space into usable office space, which may include the generation of individual offices and/or space to include the layout and installation of systems furniture. Work under Facility Shell Space Renovation will include architectural, electrical, mechanical/HVAC design for the proposed location. Design will include the application of VA space criteria to provide for the proper program space. Asbestos/lead paint removal may also be encountered under this project. The above scope is intended to describe the project in general and is not limited to the aforementioned. All work shown on the drawing and described in the specifications shall form the complete project. The estimated construction budget is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms within 150 driving miles of the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF330 with appropriate documentation to Contracting Officer (693/Karen Whalen), VAMC, 1111 East End Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 by the close of business May 5, 2009. NAICS Code 541330 applies. This is not a request for proposals. This procurement is 100% set aside for Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). Award is subject to the availability of funds.
