Description
This Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes to locate capable SBA certified HUBZone small business concerns. The Air Force is conducting market research and desires input from industry to assist in requirements planning. The information requested by this synopsis will be used within the Air Force to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. Please note: The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. The 6th Contracting Squadron, Macdill AFB, is interested in the identification of capable sources to provide quarterly inspections, and any required maintenance and repair of the Crash Fire Rescue Facility and the Structural Fire Trainer Facility at Macdill AFB, FL in a manner that will ensure its serviceability and prevent deterioration in value or effectiveness of equipment. The contractor shall comply with manufacturers' recommendations and procedures, Air Force Technical Order 35E1-2-13-l and local, state, and federal guidelines as applicable to the work involved. 1. Particulars: a. Maintenance and Repair Services - Crash Fire Rescue Training Facility(CFRTF). The Crash Fire Rescue Training Facility (CFRTF) consists of an aircraft mock-up, burn area, control stand, liquid propane fuel system, cathodic protection system and water conservation pond. b. Maintenance and Repair Services - Structural Fire Trainer Facility. The 4-Story Fire Trainer Facility consist of siding, doors, shutters, locks, and latches, interior walls, stair systems, handrailings, vertical ladders and shafts, roofs, hatches, toe holds, tie offs and certified anchor points. c. Response Times. The contractor shall be able to respond to propane leak service calls within one (1) hour. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Liner maintenance response shall be determined by the severity of the damage. For all other repairs, the contractor shall respond in a timely manner. 2. Information requested: a. Company Information: Name, Address, CAGE code, telephone number, FAX number, point of contact(s) name(s), phone number, e-mail address. b. Capability Information should include a brief description of experience in providing the type of support described above. Please include contract references relating to the above requirements, to include: Contract number; agency supported, period of performance, original contract value, and Point of Contact (POC) with current phone/fax number. The capability package must be clear, concise, and complete. The Air Force is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. Capability packages should be limited to no more than 3 pages. c. Identification of business size and whether currently designated a HUBzone as certified by the SBA, and currently listed in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system. Small business size standards are published by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and may be found at www.sba.gov/size/sizetable2002.html. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310. Small Business size standard is $6.5 million. d. Any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. Response must be received by this office at or before 4:00 pm EST on 17 Apr 09. This request for information does not constitute a commercial solicitation, and the Government will not pay for any information submitted or for any costs associated with providing the information.
