- The 11th Contracting Squadron is seeking sources to perform on the oboe with the United States Air Force Band. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ). This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued for informational and planning purposes only. It is not to be misconstrued as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. The USAF Band is looking for a qualified, interested, and experienced source to play on the oboe during a 1 week recording session. The source must have a minimum of 3-5 years professional experience of solo and ensemble proficiency, as well as comprehensive oboe expertise in tone, rhythm, intonation, musicality and blend. The source must also be able to take a government credit card as a means of payment. If your company has an interest in providing information on the requirements described above, please provide a Capability Statement to Lt. Chaudhry via email at usmaan.chaudhry@afncr.af.mil, or fax to (202) 767-7887. Additionally, sources must submit a sample of their work (on a CD) to Lt. Chaudhry at the following address: 11th Contracting Squadron, 20 MacDill Blvd, Suite 400, Bolling AFB, DC 20032-0101. The Capability Statement should include general information and technical background describing your company experiences in contracts requiring similar efforts; it should also demonstrate the ability to support the required task. Additionally, it should include the company name, address, point of contact (POC), telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, GSA schedules held, company size (small business, woman-owned business, etc.). The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. All responses are due by 12 PM Wednesday, April 15th.
