- The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered RFQ-AG-0109-S-09-0007 on or about April 23, 2009 for the Seward Trail Brushing and Clearing project. The purpose of this contract is to acquire services for the clearing of vegetative growth and brush located along approximately 18.15 miles of trail on the Seward Ranger District, Chugach National Forest. Clearing and removal includes cutting, trimming, and disposing of live and dead brush/slash, logs and debris. The project area is located within the trail corridors of the Resurrection Pass Trail and Crescent Creek Trail. All trails are located on the eastern half of the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, within the Chugach National Forest. The period of performance will be through September 30, 2009. Award of this project to be accomplished under Full and Open Competition, 100% Small Business set-aside. The solicitation and drawings will be available for downloading at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about April 23, 2009. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to check FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation or this announcement.
