- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all services, materials, supplies, facilities, supervision, labor, and equipment, necessary to clean grease exhaust systems located in dining facilities. The Contractor shall provide services to include, but is not limited to, management and oversight of the functions necessary to remove accumulated oily sludge, grease, dirt and lint from grease exhaust systems and associated duct work, vents and motors. All exhaust systems shall be maintained to a standard that will prevent deteriation of the grease exhaust systems and eliminate the possibility of a fire hazard. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 561790 is applicable to this acquisition. The applicable size standard is $7.0 million. The Government will issue a 100% small business set-aside Request for Proposal (RFP). Contract award will be made on the basis of Best Value. Evaluation factors will be listed in order of importance in the RFP. Award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract is anticipated. Services shall be procured pursuant to the regulatory direction of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial items. The expected award shall consist of one base period of performance (1 Oct 09, or date of award, through 30 Sep 10) and may include up to four option periods of performance. There is no guarantee that any option period of performance will be exercised. The entire solicitation package will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ and the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Requests for copies of the solicitation package by any other means will not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps and ASFI websites for the release of the solicitation package or subsequent solicitation amendments. The RFP will be issued on or about 22 APR 2009. There will be a pre-proposal conference/site visit that all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Specific date and time for the site visit will be provided in the solicitation. The closing date for submission of offers will be on or about 22 MAY 2009, 4:00 p.m. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Contractors are encouraged to obtain further information on CCR registration at the following website: http://www.ccr.gov/. This announcement does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
