Facsimile and e-mail quotes are acceptable and preferred. The contract type is: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) 1. Description/Intent of Work to Be performed: Under FAR Part 8, the Government intends to award a single firm fixed price order. 2. Location of Work to be Performed: The shipping location of required supplies is: DFAS-Rome 145 Electronic Parkway ATTN: Dave Steiner, ext. 6075 Rome, NY 13441 3. Anticipated Period of Performance or Delivery Schedule: Required NLT May 15, 2009. 4. List any applicable standards: See the specifications on the following page. 5. Prices: The Agency is seeking price reductions from the prices listed under your FSS published price list. The Federal Supply Schedules Program permits contractors to offer price reductions from their price lists in accordance with commercial practice. 6. List any Acceptance Criteria: N/A 7. Basis for Selection: Price. Basis for Determining Technical Qualification- You must meet the requirements of the specification on the following page. The Government will award to the Contractor(s) whose proposal is determined to be the “best value” to the Government, price and other factors considered. 8. Special Requirements (security clearance, travel, etc): N/A THE REQUIREMENT IS FOR: ONE (1) Secure Entry Door: EOC ENTRY DOOR SPECIFICATIONS DFAS Rome Door: •16 gauge galvanized annealed stretcher level steel faces. •Interior sound retardant core and isolator perimeter edge construction with no lead or asbestos in core. Must be STC 50 compliant. •Concealed electric power transfer and continuous conduit raceway. Frame: •14 gauge galvanized annealed factory weld. •EPT Prep in frame. •Set up for right hand swing. Hardware: •Lock will be wired at the production facility using the EPT through door to frame opening. •Hinges – cam lift, full mortise, 500 lb. rating. •Closer – grade 1 heavy duty surface mount. •Locking device – LKM7003XO9 self powering combination lock with strike #3 (or equal) and a Best/Falcon 1 ¼ ric core rim cylinder capable of accepting a Best 7 pin core with construction core (or equal) and two keys for override module. •Threshold will be ½” high ADA compliant fitted aluminum, 175 A smooth saddle. Installation Kit: •Instructions and shop drawings. •Insulation for frame. •Complete shim set. •Anchor bolts and all other fasteners to install door and frame. If you are interested in quoting this requirement, the quote must be submitted by 8:00am (EST),Columbus OH - 17 April 2009. Quotes may be submitted directly to – peter.joyce@dfas.mil. This requirement possesses One (1) contract line item and will be awarded "All or None" to the Contractor whose offer is determined to be the “best value” to the Government, price and delivery factors considered. PRICE: Evaluation of price will be based on the total quoted price. DELIVERY: May 01, 2009 is desired, but NO LATER THAN May 15, 2009 is REQUIRED. No award will be made for offers less than the full requirements within this solicitation. All equipment must be new and unused. Offerings that do not meet the minimim specifications provided will be rejected. Transportation charges must be included within the unit prices quoted. FOB DESTINATION: DFAS-Rome, 145 Electronic Parkway, Rome, NY 13441 INSPECTION/ACCEPTANCE: DFAS-Rome, NY All offerors must provide their Cage Code and be registered in the CCR. NOTE: For any quotes based on supplying an equivalent item, the offeror must: •Clearly identify the item by brand name and make and/or model number •Supply descriptive literature •Clearly describe any modification that will be made by the offeror to make the item conform to the required specifications Award will be made based on the quote that offers the best value to the Government. Although price will be the primary determining factor, the offeror’s ability to meet the desired delivery period may affect the award decision.
