Description
The Fort Myer Military Community, Causality Assistance Center, has a requirement for a contactor to provide professional services as specified in the Statement of Work for the embalming, cremation, and transportation of human remains in compliance with all federal, state, and local health laws, statues and regulations. This solicitation is a request for quote and is issued as a 100 percent total small business set-aside for Mortuary Services within a 15 mile radius of Fort Myer, Virginia under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 7261, NAICS code is 812220 and the related Small Business Size Standard is $ 7 million. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite /Quantity Contract. This requirement will include a Base Period of 1-year that will commence on or about 1 May 2009 thru 30 April 2010, with two (2) additional one-year option periods. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at the time of award. DOD Anti-Terrorism Standards: Pursuant to Department of Defense Instruction 200.16, DoD Anti-Terrorism Standards, each contractor employee who needs access to Fort Myer, Virginia, must complete Level I anti-terrorism awareness training and receive certificate of training. The training is publicly available at https://atlevel1.dtic.mil/at. Contractor shall provide certificates to the Contracting Officer. If an automated system is not available, contractor may conduct required training (i.e., as part of Quality Control or Safety training) and provide employees names and evidence of certification to the Contracting Officer. Solicitation will be issued on or about 08 April 2009. Due date will be stated in the solicitation.
