- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, WHITE RIVER JUNCTION VERMONT, IS SEEKING SOURCES FOR A TOTALLY CLOSED (FLUID WASTE MANAGEMENT, AND SMOKE EVACUATION SYSTEM). This item of equipment should be mobile, collect surgical waste in the operating room, where it can quickly dispose of any fluids through a Docking Station, or disposal system of similar capability, with virtually no exposure to healthcare workers. This item of equipment should be capable of smoke, and fluid evacuation at the same time, and must operate with 35 PSI, or less, through the Docking Station. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. This is not a request for a competitive quotation. No solicitation document is available, and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contracting Officer. The Department of Veterans Affairs, White River Junction Medical Center is the location where delivery would be made for the items. Responses received on or before 1:00 PM EST, 22 April, 2009, will be considered. (PLEASE NOTE:) This is not a Request for Proposal, the Government in seeking information for planning purposes, and this sources sought does not constitute a solicitation, or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this sources sought announcement. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice, will be made solely at the discretion of the Government.
