- Description
- The project is located on the Hume Lake Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest. From Fresno at S.H. 99/180 take S.H. 180 east for 52.5 miles to the Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park Entrance Station. Drive another 1.5 miles to the “wye” – stay to the left and drive through the park toward Cedar Grove for 7.0 miles to Princess Campground on the right hand side of the road. This project work includes reconstructing 50 living areas, installing 50 fire rings and 50 tables, reconstructing and paving 1.35 miles of single and double lane road, paving 8 parking spurs, paving access to 8 toilet buildings, paving 2 host site pads, paving RV dump station access road, paving 5500 linear feet of asphalt berm, replacing 1 hydrant, replacing 3 campground and 1 entrance gates, replace 5315 linear feet of waterline including drains, replace 2300 linear feet of power cables from well head to generator house, replace generator house, install/replace 21 valves with valve boxes, abandoning and installing 2 leach fields, pumping out 2 septic tanks, installing new RV water tower washout station and potable water fill, installing 2 new RV pedestals, installing manway pumpout for host site septic tank, and installing government furnished generator building. Demolition and removal of existing 50 fire rings, 50 tables, and hydrant with sump within KIOSK area, water tower and water tower hydrant at RV dump station, generator building and 4 roadway gates. Estimated Start Date: September 8, 2009 Gov't Estimate: Between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00 Estimate Date of Solicitation Posting: April 23, 2009 A pre-bid conference/tour will be held on May 13, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., weather permitting, at the project site.
