- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solisitation VA-322-09-RQ-0005 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) pursuant to FAR Part 12 and Part 13. It is anticipated that one firm-fixed-price purchase order will result from this solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This is a Total Small Business Set-aside. The NAICS code is 561621 and the small business size standard is $12.5 Million.The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Montgomery, AL Regional Office has a requirement for a Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) system to be purchased and installed at 345 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL buildings 55 and 42. The CCTV system must provide a 360 degree view of buildings 55 and 42 with a viewing distance of 20 feet. There must not be any blind spots with the new system. The system must include Vandal-Proof Day/Night Fixed Cameras with zoom capabilities (or equal) to cover site perimeter and buildings entrances/exits. Cameras must be equipped with proper accessories to perform in all weather conditions 24 hours a day 7days a week 365 days a year. The camera system must be networked and connected to the VA Medical Center (VAMC) for 24 hour monitoring and recording. Monitoring and recording equipment will be placed at the VAMC. Contractor must provide system start-up, testing, and training. All wiring and cabling will be tied down above the drop ceiling and affixed at the highest accessible point in the ceiling. No wiring or cabling will be allowed to lie on ceiling tiles. Installation will be accomplished between 7:00am CST and 4:00pm CST, Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays. Any work outside this time frame will require the approval of the Contracting Officers Technical Representitive. Work must be accomplished in a manner as to minimize disruption to the normal operation of the VA office. Debris will be kept to a minimum and removed promptly upon completion of the job. The contractor will be responsible for and and all damage to carpet, ceiling tiles ceiling grids, lights, and walls. Any damage must be repaired at the cost to the contractor. Contractors must provide a proof of insurance and possess all appropriate licenses, permits, and other authorities necessary before work can proceed. Period of Performance: 120 days following the date of award. Instalation address: 345 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36109 Bldg 55 and 42. Site visit: a site visit will be conducted on April 15, 2009 at 13:00 CST. Quotations are due April 30, 2009 not later than 16:00 CST.
