- Description
- NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for(2) Three-Axis Magnetometers (TAM), and (1) TAM Ground Support Equipment. The scope ofwork for this procurement entails the Contractor providing the facilities, personnel,services, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to deliver the Two Flight UnitThree-Axis Magnetometers and Ground Support Equipment for the Global PrecipitationMeasurement Project in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specification, andDeliverable Items List and Schedule. These items will be provided with issuance of theRFP.This procurement will be done as a full and open competition.NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with ananticipated award date on or about July 1, 2009.The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12.See NASA Specific Numbered Note 26 this can be accessed at the following URL: http://genesis.gsfc.nasa.gov/nasanote.html.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is334519.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about April 24, 2009, with ananticipated offer closing date on or about May 24, 2009. The actual due date for receiptof offers will be stated in the prospective RFP. Upon issuance of the RFP, all qualifiedresponsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed -- see NASA Specific Numbered Note B.This can be accessed at the following URL:http://genesis.gsfc.nasa.gov/nasanote.html.The perspective RFP and related documents (e.g., SOW, Specification, and DILS for thisprocurement will be available via the Internet.
