- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, MS intends to award on a limited/sole source basis under the authority of Title III of the Federal Property and Administrative Act of 1949(41 U.S.C. 251 et. seq.) and Title 40 U.S.C. 501. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 8.405-6 (2)(b)(ii) Limited Sources, to Campbell Scientific, Inc., Logan, Utah. The new requirement is a logical follow-on to the original weather station system purchase. The purchase of other type of products will adversely impact the Governments mission requirements. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 12:00noon CST on 13 April 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
