Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement to provide three each King Fisher Company audible and visual alarms systems, part number 98517, including 50 each speaker/strobes pn 80107, and 3 each audio booster panels pn 99801. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. FISCPS intends to purchase the three systems on a sole source basis from King Fisher Company, the original equipment manufacturer of the three existing radio fire alarm control systems. Market research has determined that King Fisher Company audible and visual alarms system is the only system that will interface with the existing King Fisher radio fire alarm control systems. This requirement is solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5. Interested sources may submit their capabilities and qualifications ! to meet the requirement in writing to the identified contract specialist not later than 2:00 p.m. local time on 4/20/2009. All information should be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Dianne Palmatier, Code 250, fax: 360-476-8701, or email: dianne.palmatier@navy.mil. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
