- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ number is Q5130090003. This solicitation is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333319 and the size standard is 500 employees. SCOPE OF SUPPLY; GREEN SAND FILTER VESSELS AND MEDIA - Filters must fit into space of 120" long, 63"wide, and 95" high. Filter capacity to be no less than 64 gpm per tank. Two (2) Manganese Greensand Filter Vessels each as follows: No larger than 54" diameter X 63" straight side height, 100 psig design pressure and 150 psi test pressure2 ea. - 3" 150# flange, inlet and outlet connections. 2 ea. - 1" 150# flange, drain and vent connections. 4 ea. - 3"X 3" X 3/8" Angle legs with 5" X 5" X 3/8" foot pad or equivalent. 1 ea. - No Larger than 3" X 12" Oval Window. 1 ea. - No Larger than 14" X 18" Elliptical Man-way. 1 ea. - Meter to monitor backwash flow. 4 ea. - Pressure Gauges. Interior blasted and lined 12-15 mils of epoxy or equivalent. Exterior blasted and finished 6-10 mils of epoxy or equivalent. Under-drain of schedule 80 PVC Hub Lateral design. Inlet Distributor of 3" schedule 80 PVC. Media Supplied for each Vessel: 7 cu. ft. coarse filter gravel to cover the under-drain. 5 cu. ft. medium filter gravel. 5 cu. ft. fine filter gravel. 32 cu. ft. Manganese Green Sand. NOTE: Exact location of vessel nozzles to match existing piping, will be according to dimensions provided by customer. This solicitation is "ALL or None". Estimated Delivery Date: 45 days after receipt of award. Packaging requirements: Standard Commercial Practice. The FOB point will be Destination. "FOB Destination" means that all costs for transportation or freight from the shipping point shall be paid by the contractor and included as a separate line item.
