- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with Granta Design Limited of Cambridge, U.K. The contractor, Granta Design, will provide technical software support to the "Navy Materials Properties Database" (NMATDB)for the NSWCCD. Granta Design has prior experience in support of the NMATDB project, specifically, Granta's "Cambridge Design Selector"(CES) software is used in conjunction with the NMATDB program. Granta Design is the source for the original software and owns the source code. Support services shall include system stability, user interface, database functionality, and trouble-shooting. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
