Description
sf-30 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Psychiatrist Services for the Federal Correctional Institution, located in Beckley, West Virginia. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contractor shall provide Psychiatrist services for the inmate population in a correctional setting for the Health Services Department at FCI Beckley, is available at www.bop.gov. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 96 sessions per year. A session is defined as one hour. The contractor will conduct services an average of three to four times per month. The schedule will be in blocks of four sessions, or two sessions. Additional sessions may be provided on an as needed basis. The schedule shall not exceed 30 hours per week. The Contractor will normally work, Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The contractor shall provide psychiatrist services in accordance with specific orders provided by the Health Services Administrator. The contractor will be notified in advance of the requested date of service and the number of inmates to be examined. The number of inmates will be determined by the Health Services Staff and will vary. Based upon previously required services, approximately 4 inmates per session will be examined. The Psychiatrist will keep open communication with the Health Services Administrator and a written report providing black ink typed or legible written reports in SOAP note format on all patients evaluated. The Contractor will provide Psychiatrist services in accordance with Bureau of Prison policy. The Contractor is required to be experienced with the delivery of psychiatrist services and be able to meet the requirements of this solicitation. Offers are requested to submit photocopies of their resume or license and/or board certification, and sign a consent for release of Information for verification of credentials along with their quote price per session. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 09, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 621112, with a small business size standard of $10.0 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about May 11, 2009; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
