- This is a request for a Quote (RFQ) prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjuction with FAR Subpart 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is for full and open competition. The RFQ is for a firm -fixed price, to purchase weapons and accessories for the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. The Government intends to make one award to the lowest offeror. However, if it is determined to be in the Government’s best interest to make multiple awards then more than one award may be awarded. The contractor shall provide a quote for 20 each M6A2 5.56mm caliber weapon system, gas piston operating system, 6.5 lbs w/o magazine, 26.75" overall length,1/7" rate of twist, 10.5" cold rotary hammer forged barrel, single fire and full auto carbine with free floating rail system, 20,000 round minimum barrel life, 4.5-6.0 lb trigger pull, 30 round magazine capacity - polymer, 240 each HK 30 round magazine, 20 each Fore grip tactical light (surefire: M910A-WH), 20 each EOTECH - Sights (552 rev. F HOLO Sight), 20 each Tactical Two-Point sling w/sling mount, 20 each front Iron Sight. The contractor must be able to meet a 120 days delivery schedule upon date of award for this requirement. The Washington Headquarter Services (WHS), Acquisition and Procurement Office, Department of Defense, 1155 Defense Pentagon, Washington, DC 20301-1155 intends to purchase the items listed above, brand name specific. Additionally, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to offerors. Quote are due no later than 1pm, Eastern Standard Time, Wednesday, April 15th, 2009. Offers shall be submitted electronically via email to: kenneth.gipson@whs.mil. For additional information, contact Mr. Kenneth L. Gipson, Contract Specialist at 703-696-1674. Offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data before award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in the CCR, it may be done through the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. The selected Offeror must comply with the following commercial item terms and conditions, which are incorporated herein by reference: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items - the selected offeror must submit a completed copy of the listed representations and certifications; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, paragraph (a) and the following clauses in paragraph (b): 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.232-34.
