- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordanced with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and the RFQ is being posted at "www.fedconnect.net" in conjunction with the posting of this announcement. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation, number L09PS00262,Moving Services. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30. This solicitation is set-aside for Small Business Concerns, under North American Industry Classification System (NAISC) Code 484210. The small business size standard is $25.5 million. Conduct two phase in-office move of systems furniture, standard map and folder file equipment, file contents for some file systems all located in one room, with a small adjacent office. Work will be performed at the Bureau of Land Management, Montana State Office, 5001 Southgate Drive, Billings, MT. -Phase 1 will take place in one enclosed office (210 square feet) housing two (2) units of systems furniture and (1) one safe, and one (1) adjacent office space (2,405 square feet) housing 11 units of systems furniture, and 55 file cabinets of two sizes. Packing of contents will be required for 39 of these cabinets. Repacking cabinets will be done by staff after contents are placed in same location. Boxes provided by BLM are 12 x 12 x 18, total of 1500 pcs. All computers and telecom equipment movement, as well as data cable movement, will be done by BLM IRM staff. Electric work will be handled by separate contract. Phased work will enable efficient movement/storage of office furniture and files. -Phase 2 will take place on the remaining half of the main floor (1,600 square feet approx.) open office space, housing nine (9) units of systems furniture, 24 large map file units (moved with drawers removed), and other conventional furniture items. Packing of contents will be required for 25 Speed file X2 cabinets. Repacking cabinets will be done by staff after contents are placed in same location. Boxes provided by BLM are 12 x 12 x 18. Set up of all furniture and files will be done according to new floor plan created by BLM staff. Storage of items will take place at onsite staging areas and by outside portable storage unit rented separately by BLM. Vendors must have prior experience with various types of systems furniture for teardown and rebuild purposes. A statement listing prior experience must be included in your quote. There will be a Site Tour on April 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the BLM, Montana State Office, 5001 Southgate Drive, Billings, MT.
