- Description
- The work includes providing maintenance and repair of bituminous concrete pavements and Portland concrete pavements, utility repairs and incidental related work. It is the government's intention to award an indefinite quantity contract. The term of this contract will be for a period of 12 months plus one (1) 12-month option. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990 with a standard of $33.5 million. Contract may be placed on E-mall, which is an electronic ordering system, and contractors will be required to accept Government Purchase Cards. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. Per the Debt Collections Improvement Act of 1996, The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation supplement (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. BIDDERS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE! TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE MAY RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Registration can be accomplished on www.ccr.gov. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled at a later date and will be posted on the NECO website. The estimated date that the Request for Proposal package will be available is 15 APR 09. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), availability of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. Plans and specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is: www.neco.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. All prospective offerors should register on the NECO website (www.neco.navy.mil). An official planholders list will be maintained on line and can be printed from the web site. Planholders list will not be faxed and will only be available from the web site. Notification of any changes to this solicita! tion (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation's plans and specifications.
