- Description
- This project consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor to replace the existing HVAC system serving the east laboratory area in Facility 445. The demolition work shall include the removal of the existing fume hoods, makeup air system including the ductwork and air handling units, water cooled chiller and associated piping, and the facility power feed and transformer. The removal of the HVAC system shall require the removal of the existing plaster and drop ceiling and lighting in the facility. This work does involve demolition of lead painted items and work shall be performed in accordance with the specification. The installation work shall include new fume hoods, exhausters, HVAC system including controls, ductwork, piping, chiller, and air moving equipment, fire alarm/detection system, ceiling, lighting, and a new transformer for the east laboratory area. The Contractor shall provide and set up temporary laboratory trailers for the Air Force to use and occupy during the duration of the construction effort. The stimated construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period shall be 350 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed.
