- Description
- The presolicitation notice has changed. The solicitaion will now be 100% Set-Aside competitive acquisition for ALL 8A qualified businesses. The solicitation number will be (W911QY-09-R-0024). The U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division has a requirement for the production of the Army Combat Shirt (ACS). The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract with one (1), five (5) year ordering period. The minimum quantity will be 500,000 each with a maximum quantity of 3.5 million each. The ACS will not replace any garment currently in the US Army supply system. Instead it will supplement current Army issue. The ACS will maintain or increase the level of Fire Resistant (FR) protection while reducing weight and bulk, improving comfort and therefore increasing user acceptance. The ACS will provide increased moisture management capability over the FR Army Combat Uniform. The ACS will be compatible with a ll individual Soldier tactics, techniques, procedures, and individual equipment. The ACS is designed to be worn with the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV). The North American Industry Classification code is 315299. The size standard is 500 employees. The Request for Proposal will be posted on the Natick Contracting Centers website; www3.natick.army.mil, on or about May 30, 2009.
