- Description
- The Social Security Administration has a requirement for a hotel that can provide the necessary services for a conference to be held in Seattle Area, Washington for June 2009. Sleeping rooms are not part of this acquisition, as attendees are responsible for making their own reservations for sleeping rooms. However, the facility must be able to accommodate 409 sleeping rooms for nights covering the length of the conference. The facility must be able to provide meeting room/ballroom space to accommodate 385 participants for the awards ceremony and 225 participants for plenary sessions, three to four breakout session rooms as indicated, and audiovisual equipment to include LCD projectors, screens, electrical cords, carts, microphone and podium, flipcharts, and flipchart paper and markers. The facility must also provide full catering services for morning and afternoon breaks, one evening reception, and a mandatory lunch. The facility must be in compliance with the basic safety and ADA requirements recorded in the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS, sections 4-9) and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Information regarding this registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov/. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items. This is a non set-aside. The North American Industry Code (NAIC) is 721110. The solicitation number SSA-RFQ-09-1367 will be available for downloading. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
