Interested parties wishing to obtain a copy of the solicitation package (701819Q307) are to visit the solicitation line posted along the side of this announcement, which will route to the Interior Department IDEAS-EC website containing all solicitation materials. Overview: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting for quotes for the 2009 Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge field camp food orders. This solicitation contains six separate remote island locations and 10 separate orders. Specific requirements include: a box list for each camp location with box number and contents, must inform the GOV POC of any unavailable items 3 days in advance of delivery, provide a separate itemized receipt for each camp, general substitutions are allowed (brand name), however, some are not (e.g. microwave popcorn for regular popcorn when these are remote camps w/o electricity), in general all products should be long-lasting types suitable for a field camp and non-refrigerated. Avoid super-large Costco sizes which will go bad when opened and not quickly eaten. Some juice drinks are concentrate in cans. Packing requirements include use of small sturdy boxes that seal completely - no holey produce boxes or big flimsy awkward egg boxes; each box must be lined with a plastic garbage bag with items inside - do not tie or seal; single box weight less than 30 lbs; label each box with camp name, perishable or dry, and box number. Delivery for all dry goods is May 1, 2009. Delivery of all perishable goods is May 11, 2009. FOB Origin: Homer, AK.
