- The 37th Contracting Squadron is intending to award a sole-source purchase order to Applied Industries for a HORN MACHINE TOOL; MODEL#3CNC80TSR (FULL AUTOMATIC TUBE BENDING MACHINE) This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 27 MAR 09. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on Sole Source requirement. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-31 and DFARS Change Notice 20090115, Standard Industrial Code 8711, North American Industry Classification System Code 541330 and Size Standard of $4.5 Million apply to this procurement. The Government intends to evaluate and award without discussions on this procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on sole source requirement. Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. The justification for this sole source procurement is to continue mission support. Applied Industries can provide these units in an expedited time frame, which in the long term will save the government thousands of dollars and manpower hours.
