- Description
- The U.S. Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center (RDECOMCC) has a requirement for usage of brand name components in support of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory on the basis of other than full and open competition. The proposed contract will cover the cost of manufacturing and supplying ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) panels manufactured from both Dyneema HB26 and Spectra Shield II SR-3124 fabrics. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed Price. This proposed procurement is set aside for small business concerns only. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Procedures (commercial items) under NAICS 326130 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/). Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award of a Federal contract. Information regarding registration can be obtained from the Business Partner Network site in the CCR link at https://www.ccr.gov/. Contractors are also required to complete online representations and certifications at the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) portal at https://orca.bpn.gov/, prior to the RFQ closing date.
