Description
The Gifford Pinchot National Forest is soliciting prospective contractors to perform road repair work on forest roads 47 and 63. The work includes, but is not limited to; road reconditioning; importation and placement of borrow rock; importation and placement of crushed rock; and removal and replacement of multiple culverts of various size and lengths. To access the project sites, follow US Highway 12 to milepost 121 then turn on to Lewis county road, (Davis Creek) and follow this road east for 1.5 to the beginning point of the 63 road. Then follow the 63 road to the sites located on the 63 road. The sites on the 47 road are accessed by following the 63 road to it’s ending point at milepost 15.8, this is at the junction with the 47 road at milepost 13.68 of the 47 road. From this point the repair sites on the 47 road are accessable. The estimated start work date for this project is July 15, 2009. The project completion period will be 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $31.0 million. The Government Estimate for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The estimated date of issuance for the soliciation is April 9, 2009 with proposals due on May 8, 2009. The solicitation will be issued as a total HUBZone set-aside. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror representing the best value to the Forest Service based upon price, experience, past performance, and other determining factors. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are requested to register as an interested vendor in order to receive notification of any postings concerning this project. The solicitation, and any amendments, will be made available at this internet site. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Forest Service.
