- The contract resulting from this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the abatement of the Sue Combs Landslide II emergency project in Cordia, Knott County, KY. The project site is located at 1691 Clear Fork Road, about 6.7 miles from the junction of Route 550/476 and Route 1088 near Cordia, Knott County, KY. The work to be performed under the contract will consist of: mobilization and demobilization of equipment and labor; clearing and grubbing of the project site; excavating and regrading of the landslide to a stable configuration; disposing of landslide material; drainage control; and restoration of all disturbed areas. The emergency nature and complexity of the work needing done at this project site does not allow for the normal announcement period and mailings of solicitations. A pre established call list Contractors for work in the Eastern Kentucky have been notified of the date, time and locationof the pre-bid conference. Complete solicitation packages (IFB and attachments) will be distributed to all prospective bidders in attendance at the pre-bid meeting on 3/31/2009 @11:00 am. In addition, prospective bidders can obtain the solicitation package electronically from FedConnect or FedBizOpps. The solicitation package has been posted to FedConnect which is linked to FedBizOpps. Bids will be opened on April 7, 2009 @ 2:00 pm. An original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along with a 20% bid guarantee, Section K Reps and Certs, AML Contractor Information Form will be due at the depository in 3 Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 on the above date and time. Electronic and/or faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov.
