- 25 March 2009 This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD a Brand Name contract for Swagelok Brand fittings and parts using Federal Acquision Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 200 each Part #SS-400-1-4 MNPT straight connector to Swagelok CLIN 0002 115 each Part #SS-200-1-2 1/8 MNPT straight connector to 1/8 Swagelok CLIN 0003 50 each Part #SS-4mg metering valve Swagelok ends CLIN 0004 50 each Part #SS-QM2-S-200 1/8 quick connect stem 1/8 Swagelok ends CLIN 0005 225 each Part #SS-QM2-B-200 1/8 quick connect body 1/8 Swagelok ends CLIN 0006 50 each Part #SS-400-1-8 MNPT straight connector to Swagelok CLIN 0007 15 each Part #SS-400-1-16 1 MNPT straight connector to Swagelok CLIN 0008 100 each Part #SS-400-P Swagelok plug CLIN 0009 50 each Part #SS-400-6 Swagelok coupling CLIN 0010 50 each Part #SS-400-3 Swagelok tee CLIN 0011 75 each Part #SS-400-1-2 1/8 MNPT straight connector to Swagelok CLIN 0012 100 each Part #SS-400-6-2 Swagelok reducing union to 1/8 Swagelok CLIN 0013 15 each Part #SS-400-7-4 FNPT straight connector to Swagelok CLIN 0014 50 each Part #SS-400-sets ferrule sets CLIN 0015 40 each Part #SS-42GS4 40 series ball valve CLIN 0016 100 each Part #SS-401-PC port connectors CLIN 0017 1 each Shipping & Handling The intended delivery date for the items is May 4, 2009. Market Research indicates the recommended territorial distributor for Swagelok is Baltimore Valve & Fitting. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423720 and the Business Size Standard is 100 employees. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 8:00 AM Eastern Time, Monday, April 6, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
