Description
This synopsis is being posted to correct a previous synopsis (shown below) which was posted on 13 January 2009 for perfusion services. The previous synopsis stated that the solicitation# for the perfusion services for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego was N00189-09-T-Z023. The solicitation# has changed and the correct solicitation number is N00189-09-R-Z021. The solicitation#N00189-09-R-Z021 was posted to NECO on 19 March 2009 with a closing date of 2 April 2009. Previous Synopsis:The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division intends to acquire Perfusion services for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego for a base period of one year with 4 one-year options. Services are anticipated to begin on 1 Aug 09. The contractor will be required to provide perfusion services for Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB), Cadiopulmonary Support (CPS), Autotransfusion, Ventricular Assist Device, Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Thromboelastograph Testing (TEG), and Angioplasty. The contractor will also need to be on-call and on operating room standby and therefore must be located within the immediate San Diego, CA geographic area. The contractor will be required to prepare and operate the machines required to perform the above perfusion services. In addition, the contractor will be required to perform some general tasks as determined by the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division such! as providing consultation and providing training sessions. Contractor will propose a fixed price for each procedure required under each service listed above. FISC's intent is to issue a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) procedures. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate competitively as a 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued to Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) https://www.neco.navy.mil under solicitation# N00189-09-T-Z023 on or around 5 February 2009. The applicable NAICS code is 621399. Questions concerning this requirement should be submitted only after reading the entire solicitation which includes the detailed specifications.
