BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION LETTERS FOR CARRIER CORP. MODELS Synopsis: Over 25K-100K Open Competition - Combined Synopsis/Solicitation - FE252090480004 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-31 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20090115. NAICS is 333415 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This acquisition is full and open. The non-manufacturer rule applies as the manufacturer of the referenced NAICS is a large business. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer that meets the salient characteristics listed below. 45 CONS, Patrick Air Force Base, FL, 32925 is seeking to purchase Brand Name commercial items manufactured and designed by Carrier Corp. as follows: 1) Air Handler, Size 21, Carrier Corp. Model #: 39MJ1621DQYV41NTKE, Quantity: 1 each and 2) Air Handler, Size 14, Carrier Corp. Model #: 39MJ1614Q82141NTJE, Quantity: 1 each and Shipping FOB Destination, Patrick AFB, FL. Minimum Salient Characteristics: 1) 208/460/3, 39M AHU Carrier Air Handler. R-13 double wall sealed panel insulation, galvanized exterior panels and galvanized interior panels level II thermal break, 2" MERV angle filters, all hinges and handles left side, hot water coil is 18.06 sq. ft. 1 row, 8 fins per inch (FPI), half circuit, ½" copper tube diameter, stainless casing, copper fins steel header, no coating, 18" long plenum. Chilled water coil is 21.44 sq. ft. 10 row, 8 FPI, double circuit, ½" copper tube diameter and copper fins, stainless steel casing and drain pan. Draw thru horizontal supply fan with rear inlet, 10,500 CFM standard airflow, 7.5 HP fan motor, high efficiency, open drip proof, 208/230/460 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz, 1800 RPM, fan 867 RPM, forward curve standard wheel FCA20_18A. Variable pitch drive, all pipe connections on left side. AND 2) 208/460/3, 39M AHU Carrier Air Handler. Insulation: R-13 double wall sealed panel, galvanized exterior panels and galvanized interior panels, level II thermal break, 2" MERV 8 angle filters, all hinges and handles right side. Hot water coil is 12.29 sq. ft. 1 row, 8 fins per inch (FPI), half circuit, 1/2" copper tube diameter, stainless steel casing, copper fins, steel header, no coating. 18" long plenum, chilled water coil is 14.34 sq. ft., 8 row, 8 FPI, double circuit, ½" copper tube diameter and copper fins, stainless steel casing and drain pan. Draw thru horizontal supply fan with rear inlet, 6,500 CFM standard air flow, 5 HP fan motor, high efficiency, open drip proof, 200/230/460 volt, 3 phase, 600 hertz, 1800 RPM. 910 fan RPM, forward curve standard wheel FCA18_18A. Variable pitch drive, all pipe connection on right side, spring fan isolation. Requested Delivery: Thirty (30) days After Receipt of Order.
