Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solict and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract with The Boeing Company for the design and fabrication of 1 each Nose Landing Gear Tow Collar Prototype for the MV-22 Aircraft. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. The Boeing Company is considered the only supplier, as they are the aircraft manufacturer this equipment due to their engineering expertise and technical knowledge of the aircraft. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Because the Nose Landing Gear Tow Collar Prototype does not currently exist, technical information and drawings are not available at this time.
