- The VA National Acquisition Center (NAC) intends to issue Solicitation 797-09-RP-0037, for the Influenza Virus Vaccine requirements for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Health and Human Services Supply Service Center in Perry Point, MD (HHS), and Indian Health Service (IHS), for the 2009-2010 influenza season. Items and estimated quantities are as follows: 1) 10 dose multiple dose vial; trivalent; whole or split virus; 2009-2010 influenza season; for persons 18 years and older. VA - 120,000 vials BOP - 6,500 vials IHS - 19,535 vials 2) Pre-filled single dose syringes w/plunger and leur lock needle attachment; trivalent; whole or split virus; 2009-2010 influenza season; for persons 18 years and older. NOTE: Pre-filled single dose syringes with any type of needle attached are not acceptable. VA - 1,600,000 Syringes BOP - 1,000 Syringes 3) Pre-filled single dose syringes w/plunger and leur lock needle attachment; must be split virus vaccine that has been FDA approved and labeled with indications for administration to children 6 months - 35 months of age (pediatric), preservative free, 0.25ml HHS - 60 Syringes 4) Pre-filled single dose, syringes with plunger and leur lock needle attachment; must be split virus vaccine that has been FDA approved and labeled with indications for administration to children 36 months and older (minimum 4 years and older), preservative free, 0.5ml HHS - 61,440 Syringes 5) 10 dose multiple dose vials, trivalent; whole or split virus; 2009-2010 influenza season; FDA approved and labeled with indications for administration to children 36 months and older (minimum 4 years and older) HHS - 25,000 vials Award will be made per line item. Contractor(s) will be required to deliver the vaccine FOB Destination to Government facilities within the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Solicitation No VA-797-09-RP-0037 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about April 7, 2009, with a closing date of April 28, 2009.
